puke out my intestines
So the war has begun and I feel like throwing up. A brief couple of comments: The so-called "shock & awe" campaign is a thinly veiled fire sale for armaments manufacturers to clear back stock as repayment for their hoisting Bush into office. Uggh. I went to the liquor store today and the clerk guy had out a map of Iraq and was marking the play-by-play on it like he was tracking the final four. Yarr. I'm not going bother going any further into my opinions only to say that the whole political climate just now is the bottom of a an economy sized bag of crap. On a feathery light note, I've started putting some articles together for twentyone. And to anyone in the damn world (but more specifically austin): should you stumble across this site, you can and ought to contribute something to it. -yours in fear, pants

freeze you motherfucker
So in my insomnia last night (this morning?) I arrived at a conclusion: I should write a zine... I've been working on this painting called "21." Its a follow up to another that I did called "42." I'm not a painter, mind you, I just like to push paint around. Anyway, in my current state, these two numbers coinciding was a ridiculous revelation. Those of you familiar with the "Hitchhiker's Guide" series by Douglas Adams will recall that 42 is the answer to the question of the meaning of life. This is why I named the paining that. Half of the answer to the question of the meaning of life is 21 which is also the legal drinking age. The chase: I've always been interested in cooking and mixing drinks was a natural extension of this when I turned 21. Since I quit my job, my "interest cycle" has crested on my mixology hobby. I've always meant to make a 'zine,' so I've decided to create "twenty-one: a practical guide to the bottom shelf" I'll probably change the subtitle, but...it will be an episodic guide book about booze and booze related topics. I'm excited. I just hope this idea seems as good after I finally get some sleep.

i know you want it
I'm on a downward spiral of relaxed resposibility! It is now spring break and I am taking a damn break from...well I'm taking a break from everything. I've been having trouble sleeping lately. I think that my itch for all-night activity has come back. Its hard to shake after over a year of the graveyard shift. I woke up late today and hit the street. That's right, I quit my job a month ago and now I'm back on the grind, trying to find another job (hopefully as good). I can't seem to get off my ass to do any work that is in my field so...I've resigned myself to getting through school without a film to my name...More and more I care less and less...I'm becoming an education nihilist. Sorry to be using this as a misery forum, but my prospects are nil on all accounts... The weirdest thing is, I feel great about it. The further and further I go down, the better I feel, really. What a stupid planet. Love, RS.
